The Birmingham pickups are a total improvement in tone & fidelity all around. I play crunchy no nonsense rock n roll and these made my Les Paul style guitar come alive!!!

I have this pickup installed in three guitars and considering a forth, so far this pickup is all round what I need for Stoner and Space Rock

Combined with Alnico 2 classic in treble position, very traditional team. Extremly versatile, superb sustain and harmonics, my new favorites.

Finally I found time to change the PUs in two guitars:
1. Les Paul copy
Replaced a SH-2N by your AlNiCo 4 Hunbucker, relaced an SH-4JB by Birmingham. A no load 250 k Spit poti was added to the Birmingham:
I cannot recognize the guitar again, top quality and very open and sensitive tone. Now I can play anythimg on it. The Split blend give a very wide spectrum from full meat solo up to Strat like tones. Both PU blend very very well!! Now it is a diamond in a clean setting!

2. Rock Strat (brazil Tagima T-805, pine body)
The Classic Blues repaced Neck/Mid boring 11k Strat rock PU. Now I can play anything on it, from Cory Wong style, Blues and crunch, they have the best distorted sound I have heard so far on Strat neck/mid PU. They blend very well with a mini blade Humbucker, Very balanced in volume. need to make some tricks to reduce vol / tone resistance from 500 k to 250 k.
Before I tried van Zandt Vintage Plus pu, but they sounded thin and sharp in this pine body and dont fit to the humbucker. Your PU are 4 times chaper but 4 times better! The Classic Blues have a perfect tonal balance for very bright sounding guitar bodies.

Tonerider Birmingham are great sounding, well built pickups. Arrived fast from the UK. Good instructions included with the pickup and easy to install. Very good sound in both humbucker and switched single coil modes. Just what I wanted!
