Full Description

Our most popular pickup set of all time, this telecaster set features a higher wind on Alnico 3 magnets, scatterwound for maximum tone!

The bridge pickup is wound on a black fibreboard bobbin and wrapped with black string, and a copper-plated ferrous baseplate. All Hot Classics are now made with flat magnet polepieces (no stagger) on the bridge pickup for a early 50s correct look.

The neck pickup features our in-house Nickel-Silver cover for tonal transparency, and we include wood screws for direct mounting to the body, and two #4/40 pan head screws for use when mounting the pickup to a pickguard.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

Hot classic Telecaster upgrade

I've been considering upgrading the stock pickups in my Vester Tradition telecaster for a while due to their low output and lack of articulation when playing clean. I checked a few reviews online, and for value (even against the big F!) these Tonerider pups seemed the best option. I'm a complete amateur with electronics, but the pups were easy to install, and sound absolutely fabulous - the neck is the perfect glassy tone covering everything from Robbie Robertson to Jeff Buckley, whilst the bridge is absolutely everything you would expect from a tele, I've even had to dust down the tone control to round off a little top end. All in all, for 65 quid I am absolutely ecstatic, even at double the price these would be a bargain.
Highly recommended!

The best

I have Hot Classic bridge pickups on all of my teles.
Lovely and fat with clarity... similar to a P90 in tone.
My favourite bridge pickup... would highly recommend to anyone.

Hot Classics single coil pickups

I was a bit dubious about buying these pickups as they were relatively inexpensive compared to other makes that I have bought in the past. However, I cannot fault them. I did email Tonerider as I had a few technical issues getting my 3 way switch to work and I got an reply the next day, excellent service. So if you are thinking about changing / upgrading your single coil pickups and not sure what to use I would highly recommend Tonerider

I put a set of hot classic pickups in my Squire affinity telecaster and also in the bridge of my Squire affinity FMT telecaster and both my guitars are definitely got some more spunk
