Full Description

Our most popular pickup set of all time, this telecaster set features a higher wind on Alnico 3 magnets, scatterwound for maximum tone!

The bridge pickup is wound on a black fibreboard bobbin and wrapped with black string, and a copper-plated ferrous baseplate. All Hot Classics are now made with flat magnet polepieces (no stagger) on the bridge pickup for a early 50s correct look.

The neck pickup features our in-house Nickel-Silver cover for tonal transparency, and we include wood screws for direct mounting to the body, and two #4/40 pan head screws for use when mounting the pickup to a pickguard.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

Nice Warm and Wide Sound

Hard to describe the sound. Hotter than vintage style Tele pickups but not so hot that it loses the tele tone. A bit like a Tikka that sits midway between a Korma and a Vindaloo. They have a very nice wide and balanced sound. Great for pushing an amp a little more when you need.

Great replacement for Squier stock pickups.

I bought these based on online reviews to replace the stock pickups in a Squier 40th anniversary Telecaster.
The stock neck pickup was not bright enough for me and the tone control made little difference.
Dropped these in and now the Telecaster has great tone and control in both bridge and neck positions. They are not super hot output (Ohms) so are crystal clear and what you would expect from a Telecaster.
I have also added a 4-way switch so I can run the pickups in series so now it has the grunt of a humbucker when required which drives the front of the amp a little harder
Excellent pickups and a great price. Recommended.
Cheers
Jon

New life for Thinline Telecaster

I recently purchased a thinline telecaster and I wasn't particularly happy with the sound of the stock pickups, so I decided to swap them out for a set of the Tonerider Hot Classics. I've not done much soldering before, but the wiring diagram inside the box was incredibly straight forward and I was able to replace the pickups myself in under 30 minutes.

Compared to the stock pickups, they sound brighter, hotter and fuller which is amazing, especially given the competitive pricing. I would recommend these pickups to anyone looking to improve their telecaster sound.

I am even looking at the jazzmaster pickups to change the stock pickups in there as well.
