Full Description

With unrivalled clarity and great dynamics, the Surfari set mimics the earliest of Stratocaster sounds - right back to the mid 50s.  The Alnico 3 magnets also make for a solid mid-range, with less "scoop" than more modern magnets. 

The Surfari set uses rod magnets with our "Modified Vintage Stagger" allowing for great string to string balance on a wide range of instruments.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

fantastic value

Just put these into a SE Squire. I also upgraded the Pots, and cap.
And switch.I am so impressed by the sound of these. They are the sound I wanted. The difference is like chalk and cheese. From the muddy stock Sqiure pups. To a lovely chime strat tones. I have a custom shop telecaster. I honestly prefer the squire. This is no lie

Great Pups!

I have had guitar a few pickups and regardless of price Tonerider pups always hold their own. These Surfaris for my Strat have that 50's Vibe in spades. Most importantly to me though is their great quack in 2 and 4 positions. I use these a lot. The Surfaris NAIL IT!!!

Awesome pickups

I buy two set of Tonerider , thé tone City ans the surfari , finally i make m'y custom set with surfari in neck and middle , and City Limits in thé bridge , il love the clean tone , and light crunch sound of the surfari , and the City limite in the bridge position IS mire powerful and balanced for more drive sound , its for me the best custom set , try this , its awesome , good job Tonerider

Just loaded these into a Squire Classic Vibe 50s strat. I thought the pure vintage were perfect but these pickups have more clarity and more bell like tones. I did the blender mod in order to blend the neck with the bridge. It sounds like a tele when blended. What I like most about Tone Rider pickups are the range of usable tones you get from their pickups. If you are so inclined, the pickups take pedals extremely well. Rock on!!!
