Full Description

With unrivalled clarity and great dynamics, the Surfari set mimics the earliest of Stratocaster sounds - right back to the mid 50s.  The Alnico 3 magnets also make for a solid mid-range, with less "scoop" than more modern magnets.

The Surfari set uses rod magnets with our "Modified Vintage Stagger" allowing for great string to string balance on a wide range of instruments.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

Awesome sounding pickups for an awesome price!

Swapped the ceramic pickups from my '12 MIM fender strat for these. Huge tone improvement. Clear warm tones was exactly what I was searching for. I accidentally ordered the wrong pickup cover colour, and the customer service helped me out perfectly with this. This company is a hidden gem in the world of guitar pickups.

Fantastic Strat pickups at great price

Surfari 50s Strat pickups are great. Lower output, nice alnico clarity. Very strat-like sounding. I actually prefer them over Fat 50s or Texas Specials which I have also owned. And as an added bonus they are about 1/3 the price for the set. They also work very well with pedals if you want more gain out of them. Tonerider makes excellent quality pickups for a more than reasonable price.

The best pickups I've ever fitted

I wern't happy with the sound of a strat I built so I trolled thro the reviews and saw Tonerider had some very good reviews. So I took the plunge and bought two sets, a set of hot classics for a tele and a set of surfaris for the awful sounding strat. WOW what a difference these surfaris made, I could'nt put the guitar down. Gave it to my son to try and he could not put it down either, and he is going to buy a set to put in his strat. I'm so impressed with the toneriders and their customer service I'll use them in future builds.
