Riding Tones now.

Upgraded a cheap Ibanez GSA160 with The Birmingham HSS set and that made a huge change for the better. Open , full sound with enough details to bring the guitar alive. Via Tube or solid stae amp , it sounds great but the guitar needs some servicing like neck adjustment, upgrading the other electronics, bridge. If thats done trge guitar will sound even better but it started with the Birmingham set.

I bought this pickup hss set for my Mexican traditional fat Strat, and the sound is perfect. The original pickup was ceramic, and now the alnico V gives a perfect definition.
The humbucker is a killer sound, really perfect

These are killer

Title says it all, man. Especially the neck and middle. They just sound so effing creamy like neck and middles should. Bridge is solid, and it breaks up like you'd want it to. Has that nice low output bridge humbucker tone like some of the older stuff. They're not noisy if you hook em up right, idk, man, they just rock, especially for the price.

Toneriders Birmingham Set have radically improved my guitar tone

After seeing various youtube videos on Toneriders I decided to take a chance and after speaking with Glenn at T.R. about the tone I wanted I settled on the HSS Birmingham set and got the nickel / silver pickup cover for the humbucker and bought the S/C's in black to go with my Black Flame Maple Sire S7. The pickups that came with the Sire were ok but this was a quantum jump in clarity classier tone and I had a super switch fitted and a treble bleed capacitor and what a transformation. The best strat sound I have ever got in positions 2 and 4 and I had them wired so I could split the humbucker which was well worth doing as I have a push/pull tone knob and it gives position 2 two different sounds. The humbucker is a cracker and playing the neck pickup with gain and volume down is a really bluesey sound and maybe most surprising of all the middle pickup on its own is a usable sound which is not often the case on a strat HSS set. I should add that they arrived less than 24 hours from ordering them so the service was excellent. I have other guitars mainly with Seymour Duncans but the Toneriders sound so much better. I have no doubt that there are other brands out there that can sound really good as an upgrade but not at the price TR offer. Also the materials used to make the pickup are high quality so it's not a cheapo pickup made with inferior materials.

So all you tone hounds out there that are not quite happy with your sound should try these. Less than GBP 100 is superb value and they come with a 5 year guarantee which I did not realise until I read the box when they arrived. Finally, they are very quiet indeed even when using high gain sounds or clean tones with a compressor, at least on my set up they are.
Well done Tonerider, great product!

Amazing upgrade for my Cort G254

I have a Cort G254 that plays beautifully, but I found the stock pickups to be harsh and brittle. Seeking a warmer, more balanced sound without losing power, I tried the Tonerider Birmingham HSS set. The improvement is astounding—the guitar now offers a tonal palette I never had before. The tone quality is superb, and the build quality is excellent. I went with a simple five-position wiring scheme, but this set also supports split coil options. Highly recommended!
