Full Description

Our Vintage Plus is set is the perfect "all rounder". The neck model offers warmth and clarity, whilst the bridge pickup can handle everything from country licks to classic rock.

The bridge pickup is wound on a grey fibreboard bobbin wrapped with white string, and a copper-plated ferrous baseplate. The Alnico rod pole pieces incorporate Tonerider's modified stagger, with a higher third and fourth string polepieces to optimise string-string balance.

The neck pickup features our in-house Nickel-Silver cover for tonal transparency, and we include wood screws for direct mounting to the body, and two #4/40 pan head screws for use when mounting the pickup to a pickguard.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

Transformed an Artist AT73 t-type guitar

My mate Tony installed Tonerider Vintage Plus pickups in my mid-price, pink Paisley Tele-type AT73 guitar by Australian brand Artist. Buyer reviews and YouTube clips raved about the guitar out of the box. I found it phenomenal eye candy and, after a truss rod adjustment, great to play. But, as the reader may have guessed, I didn't think it evoked the trademark spank or the 'Big Log' both-pickups tone one hopes for from a t-type instrument. Cutting to the chase, the Vintage Plus pickups have transformed the sound. The Artist AT73 now sounds as a t-type should - tight, twangy and brimming with mischief. I have previously bought Tonerider humbuckers and all three of from their P90 range. The Vintage Plus pickups are as good as the others I've installed before. Tonerider offer such good value, and their pickups have such an incredible, transformative effect on tone, I'd be cheating myself if I didn't upgrade my guitars with them.

Excellent Punchy Tones from the Vintage Plus Pups

My second set of Toneriders and really pleased with the Vintage Plus pickups that have transformed my 1997 Yamaha Pacifica 402S giving me 7.04k at the neck and 6.66k at the bridge. Excellent, classy packaging delivered very quickly. No regrets.

Vintage Plus

Recently swapped out fender telecaster pickups for these. Great spankin' tele tone. I also have these in my other Tele, and City Limits pickups in my strat.
